We’re not just another advanced hair transplant provider serving San Diego — we’re a trusted destination for people seeking lasting, natural-looking hair restoration. Our team uses the latest diagnostic tools to evaluate your scalp, determine the cause of your hair loss, and recommend the most effective treatment plan.
Whether you need a male hair transplant solution or female hair restoration options, our customized approach ensures results that complement your unique hair type and facial features.
FUE, or Follicular Unit Extraction, is one of the most advanced hair restoration techniques chosen by patients traveling from San Diego because it combines precision with minimal downtime. The procedure involves extracting individual hair follicles from a donor area (usually the back or sides of the head) and transplanting them into thinning or balding areas.
This technique leaves no linear scar and results in a more natural hair pattern. Most patients resume normal activities within a few days, and newly transplanted follicles begin to grow within three to four months.
FUT, or Follicular Unit Transplantation, is ideal for patients traveling from San Diego who require a larger number of grafts. A small strip of scalp is removed, and follicles are transplanted to thinning areas. The linear scar is minimal and easily hidden beneath existing hair.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy uses your body’s natural growth factors to stimulate hair follicles and encourage regrowth. It’s often used as a complement to FUE or FUT procedures, enhancing overall density and healing. PRP is especially effective during early-stage hair thinning and helps maintain results after surgery.
Every hair loss journey is unique. That’s why Medical Hair Transplant and Aesthetics creates customized hair regrowth plans for patients from San Diego and surrounding regions, designed to address specific needs. During your consultation, our specialists assess factors such as donor hair availability, scalp health, and desired density.
Whether you require surgical restoration or prefer non-invasive options, we offer tailored solutions that fit expectations, lifestyle, and budget. Our advanced planning tools allow us to map out your expected regrowth timeline so you know exactly what to expect.
Male pattern baldness is the most common cause of hair loss, affecting millions of men. Our male hair transplant solutions for San Diego patients are designed to restore natural hairlines, fill thinning crowns, and rebuild confidence.
Using advanced FUE and FUT techniques, our surgeons design a hairline that complements face shape and age, ensuring natural and age-appropriate results.
Hair loss in women often manifests as thinning rather than complete baldness. Our female hair restoration services for women traveling from San Diego focus on restoring volume and density while maintaining natural softness and scalp health.
In addition to FUE or FUT, many women benefit from PRP therapy, low-level laser treatments, and scalp rejuvenation therapies to promote healthy hair growth.
Whether thinning is due to hormonal changes, genetics, or stress, our experts provide plans that support both aesthetic and medical aspects of hair health.
When it comes to natural-looking hair restoration, artistry matters as much as technology. At Medical Hair Transplant and Aesthetics, every transplant is guided by a deep understanding of natural hair growth patterns. We match follicle direction, density, and texture to ensure seamless results for patients traveling from San Diego.
Your treatment is performed by board-certified professionals using the latest tools in follicular extraction and implantation, delivering precision and long-lasting density.
Most patients resume light activities within two to three days. Minor redness or swelling subsides within a week, and transplanted hair begins shedding before new growth appears around the three-month mark.
Follow-up visits and maintenance treatments like PRP help support long-term hair health. Our clinic provides comprehensive recovery guidelines and regular progress checks.
Hair restoration results are typically permanent because transplanted follicles are resistant to hormones that cause baldness. However, untreated areas may continue to thin over time.
Regular follow-ups, maintenance treatments, and healthy scalp care can extend longevity. Our team helps design proactive care plans to keep hair looking full for years.
Our facility combines medical precision with a patient-first experience. We use advanced imaging, micrografting tools, and regenerative therapies to deliver exceptional outcomes for those traveling from San Diego.
With personalized follow-up care and transparent pricing, we make the process comfortable and rewarding.

I first noticed my hair loss shortly after graduating college. It was not very dramatic in the beginning, so I dismissed it. However, as time progressed, it became worse and worse. My crown and vertex lost so much density that I felt and looked 10 years older; I was only 25 at the time. Hair means something different from one individual to the next. For me, it felt like I was losing a part of myself (quite literally, I suppose) and my identity and confidence took a hit. I thought I was doomed to suffer this fate, being dealt a losing hand in terms of the genetic lottery, until I stumbled upon hair transplant videos on YouTube. I fell down a rabbit hole, and thus began my hair transplant journey. I scoured the internet – forums, reviews, reddit, you name it – for potential doctors that I felt comfortable with. After all, this was going to be a big investment. Fast forward, and I eventually decided on Dr. Diep. This was due to several reasons. Firstly, he was one of the few doctors who had posted videos of his work before surgery, 6 months post-surgery, and 12 months-post surgery. If they say pictures are worth a thousand words, then videos are like full blown novels. Secondly, Dr. Diep seemed to have worked with a wide variety of hair types in his YouTube videos – Caucasians, African Americans, Asians, Hispanics; this was a definite plus. I am Asian myself, so my hair is thinner, and it was very important to me that the hair transplant doctor knew how to work with my hair type. I finally took the plunge and scheduled a consultation. I was classified as having a Norwood 3A hair loss pattern. Much to my surprise, he was fully booked and the earliest date they could squeeze me in was April of next year! I was a bit bummed, but I guess all good things are worth the wait. During my time leading up to the surgery date, I corresponded with the office regarding paperwork, payments, and any general questions. For the most part it was fine, a bit disorganized at times, but nothing major. It was mostly repeated questionnaires or notifications, but hey over communicating is better than under communicating right? So, on the big day, I arrived for my 2,500 FUE procedure bright and early. The office was clean and tidy, and the receptionist was very warm. She had me fill out any remaining paperwork and asked me to select my lunch option from restaurants nearby, which was quite unexpected since it was on the house. After a short wait, I met with Dr. Diep to go over the procedure details. He had excellent bed-side manners and was very thorough. He took the time to listen to my concerns and made it a point to ask what was most important to me when drawing up the lines for where to place my transplanted hair follicles. After I took my pre-op medication, we started the procedure. I was partially sedated but still semi-conscious. Dr. Diep personally extracted all my hair follicles (which I read is the most important part), and continuously monitored my pain level throughout. If I started to feel pain, he would reapply the local anesthesia. We took a break for lunch, and in the afternoon, several technicians implanted the extracted hair follicles per Dr. Diep’s design. After wrapping up, the office gave very specific post-op care instructions and sent me home with some meds, gauze, liner pads, and a hat to cover up my scalp. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience and even more so with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Diep to anyone who has been thinking about doing a hair transplant but is on the fence; it changed my life. I can go on and on, but it is mush easier to just show the results.

A year ago I underwent a hair transplant procedure at Medical Hair Transplant & Aesthetics with Dr. Diep and his team, and I cannot express enough how thrilled I am with the results and the overall experience. The surgeon was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining the procedure in detail, including the different techniques available and which one would best suit my hair type and goals. I felt confident and well-informed before making any decisions. On the day of the procedure, the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. The procedure itself was painless, thanks to the local anesthesia, and I was kept informed at every stage. The team even provided breaks and ensured I was comfortable during the entire session which lasted about 12 hours. The aftercare instructions were clear and comprehensive. The clinic provided a detailed guide on how to care for my scalp, what to expect during the healing process, and when to return for follow-ups. Now, a little over a year post-procedure, I am absolutely delighted with the results. My hair looks natural, full, and exactly how I envisioned it. The transplanted hair has blended seamlessly with my existing hair. I’ve received countless compliments, and my confidence has soared. It’s truly been a life-changing experience. I highly recommend Medical Hair Transplant & Aesthetics to anyone considering a hair transplant. The expertise, care, and attention to detail are unmatched. The entire team goes above and beyond to ensure you feel comfortable, informed, and satisfied every step of the way.

Dr. Diep is good at what he does. No doubt. This was my first procedure with Dr. Diep, but by second overall hair transplant. My procedure required just over 2400 grafts - transplanted via FUT method. I also included the A-cell, and I am certain that it improved my healing time. The results speak to the man's excellent work and aesthetic eye. My hair is not thick, so it took some skill and strategy to achieve a very good result. Is my hairline like it was in my twenties? No... but my confidence has increased significantly. It looks natural and the FUT scar is not noticeable with longer hair. If you go with Dr. Diep, ask questions. He is engaging and willing to educate and inform. His YouTube channel is great, and yes, he is an excellent salesman with a strong understanding of marketing and advertising. But he is also honest and manages your overall expectations. It is a surgery and not without discomfort/pain and some downtime. Please understand that. Lastly, know that it takes time and sometimes multiple procedures to achieve the desired result. MHTA is an excellent clinic and Dr. Diep is an outstanding surgeon. I would highly recommend his services!
